The sun is aching from his sore joints, And shriveling up from skin cancer. The stars have mated and smile down On the earth after finding their own joy. A naïve girl whose hands were always cold With wistfulness; who was always a sleeping Zombie and slowly fell in love with the world's Beauty and all the famous words we have to say. We all dream of words floating in the clouds, Adjectives mixed with cumulonimbus. The snow starts falling with complete sentences, And we will catch adverbs on our tongues. Some day in time we will have and be all this. We will know the prayers that come out of our lips, And admire the dust swimming in the sea of air, And live till the clock strike! s midnight.
